Master of Arts in Sustainable International Development

One-Year Accelerated Track

The accelerated track is an intensive program designed for students with three or more years of previous professional experience in the development sector or a related field. Students typically complete the accelerated program in one academic year. They enter with all incoming students in late August and pursue the same first-year curriculum as all other SID students. Students in the accelerated program write a master’s paper that applies development theory and skills to solving a development problem, and they present their research at the SID Capstone event in May. Students who are interested in the accelerated track should indicate this on their admissions application.
