Admissions and Financial Aid

Orientation gives new students the opportunity to meet and engage with peers, faculty, and staff, and begin the process of preparing for the academic year. The all-Heller orientation for Fall 2021 will take place Monday, August 23 to Wednesday, August 25.

August 23rd: All Activities Moved to Zoom

A hurricane is approaching the New England coastline and is forecast to make landfall in Massachusetts late Sunday night, resulting in heavy rain, high winds, and potential flooding on Monday morning.

Out of an abundance of caution, all orientation activities on Monday, August 23 have been moved to Zoom. Please do not come to campus. You can register here for the 9:30am All Heller Welcome session.

Academic program staff will be in touch to provide additional details and Zoom links for program sessions on Monday afternoon.

As of now, we intend to resume regular in-person orientation programming on Tuesday, August 24. You can find an interactive map of campus and a PDF version of the campus map on the Brandeis website.

Prior to Coming to Campus

Every Brandeis community member must come to campus with a GREEN or YELLOW Campus Passport (other colors are acceptable for certain situations). The Campus Passport is a tool that has been developed to ensure compliance with our health and safety policies and is required to be shown at various locations on campus including some classes, the COVID testing sites, the Library, Gosman, and dining facilities. Brandeis community members may be asked to show their Campus Passport at any time.

Before coming to campus, please take these steps to ensure your Passport is campus-ready:

  • Training: Before coming to campus for the first time, all Brandeis community members must complete the online COVID-19 training available to them in LATTE by clicking on the Training button in the Passport. Training is only required to be completed once.
  • Daily Health Assessment (DHA): Everyone coming to campus must complete the Daily Health Assessment within the Passport each day prior to coming to campus. This step helps to screen each individual for potential exposure to or infection by COVID-10.
  • COVID-19 Testing: Every Brandeis community member must submit a sample for testing according to the requirements of their Campus Passport when they come to campus. To meet this requirement, schedule a COVID-19 test in the Campus Passport (your Passport will turn yellow if the test is scheduled within the next 24 hours) and then submit your sample at the Test Site (your Passport will turn green). Students are required to test twice per seek (every 96 hours).
  • Bring your mask: All Brandeis community members, regardless of vaccination status, must wear a mask in public indoor settings (when not eating or drinking).

Students arriving from outside New England should follow appropriate quarantine guidelines (if traveling) and secure a negative test prior to coming to campus.

Brandeis will offer an on-campus vaccination clinic on August 25, the day before classes begin. However, we strongly encourage you to obtain a vaccine as soon as possible. In the U.S. numerous pharmacies, doctors' offices and urgent care clinics offer the vaccines on demand.

Proof of vaccination must be uploaded IN ENGLISH to the Campus Passport Portal or you will be considered unvaccinated.
