One of the most important resources that we have at the career development center is our team. We are professionals with a variety of different experiences, but more than that, we enjoy working with alumni to assist with their next steps.
Career Assessment
We offer a variety of assessment instruments to help students and alumni clarify their interests, personality, values, and skills in order to find the best career and opportunities fit. These easy-to-follow assessments will provide you with feedback and suggestions, and the Career Development team is happy to help you interpret your results. Online Resources
- Handshake: Through Handshake, you can view job and internship postings, make appointments with Career Development Center staff, find resources for job searching and applications and more. This is the core of all career activities at Heller—and it's available to Heller alumni for a lifetime.
- GoinGlobal (via Handshake): International job search platform with career resources in over 120 global locations. This platform includes a country guide, H1B sponsorship listings, and relocation resources.
- DevEx: A career platform for the international development community. It includes job postings and resources for nonprofit organizations, as well as global development advising and career education workshops.
- Beyond the Professoriate: Beyond the Professoriate helps graduates and postdocs discover career options, apply the skills acquired through their education, and successfully transition into academic or nonacademic career paths. Aurora's online tools and videos help students navigate the job market through two programs: faculty careers and professional careers.
