Overview
The importance of a collaboration between global health and public policy has never been more evident. During this tumultuous and complex time, the health implications of a world facing pandemics, natural disasters, and stark social disparities and inequities continue to persist. As old threats evolve and new ones emerge, it is essential that our future leaders learn to develop solutions that strengthen health systems and address persistent inequities across all domains.
The dual degree Master of Public Policy and Master of Science in Global Health Policy and Management trains students in the design, financing and implementation of health systems, while also preparing students to answer complex policy questions through research and analysis. MPP/GHPM graduates will be prepared to become leaders in the changing global landscape and infrastructure of health care and to strengthen the essential health systems that communities depend on most.
Program Description
The dual MPP/GHPM program is an intensive 5-semester program taken over two and a half years. Students will take a total of 80 credits during their time in the program. Students may choose between either the Health Systems or STEM concentration.* They will complete an MPP capstone in their final semester.
*Please note: Students must apply and be accepted into the STEM concentration.
Students in dual degree programs fulfill the complete requirements for each degree, earning degrees for both programs.
