HS 442A — Corporate Finance II

Yields half-course credit.

Provides an analysis of the major issues affecting the financial policy of a modem corporation and to develop greater depth of financial skills and logical thought processes necessary to formulate and implement business decisions. This course apploes some of the concepts covered in the first course related to firm valuation, and capital structure. In this course, we start with a firm's payout policies and security issuance decisions, followed by developing an understanding of options and derivatives, which is then applied to demonstrate aspects of financial engineering and use of real options in addressing corporate valuation and decision making. Offered as part of the Heller Executive MBA for Physicians.
