HS 322B — Sociological Inquiry

Examines the transformation of work and its consequences for social mobility, inequality and social stratification. The course integrates race, class, and gender as critical frameworks for a contemporary understanding of how the occupational structure, the changing nature and distribution of work, and shifts in policies and practices shape inequalities and opportunity in an era of global capitalism. Usually offered every second year.
