Heller’s Conflict Resolution and Coexistence Program has an international partnership with the Department of Peace and Conflict Research at Uppsala University in Sweden. This gives students an opportunity to study at Uppsala during the fall semester of the second year, as they write their final paper. COEX students benefit from cutting-edge peace research of the Uppsala researchers and faculty, who can lend guidance in writing their paper. Students may take advantage of Uppsala’s rigorous curriculum to take classes on emerging security threats, advanced research methods, war and development and more.
Not all students are eligible for this program; it is limited in spots available per year and may require an additional application process. A student visa for Sweden is required. Students will pay the standard course tuition fees to Brandeis University, as well as their own housing costs in Sweden and small administrative fees to Uppsala University. Students interested in this exchange semester opportunity should contact Sandra Jones (joness@brandeis.edu) for more information.
