Pursuing a graduate degree is both a personal and financial investment. At the Heller School, we are committed to helping you identify and access the resources you need to make your degree a reality. Through a combination of scholarships, student loans, on-campus work, and external funding, we offer guidance and support in financing your education.
Fellowships & Scholarships
- Merit-based scholarship: All applicants are automatically considered for a partial-tuition, merit-based scholarship--no additional application materials needed. These awards may be partially funded by one of our distinguished fellowships and scholarships.
- Program-specific opportunities: Individual programs offer targeted partnership and affiliated scholarships.
- National service recognition: Applicants with experience in national service organizations, such as the Peace Corps, AmeriCorps, City Year, and more, are eligible for guaranteed minimum scholarship amounts and other benefits.
Loans & Federal Aid
- Federal aid and loans (U.S. citizens and permanent residents): Eligible students can access federal loan and repayment options by visiting the Federal Student Aid website.
- Private loans (U.S. and international students): In addition to federal loans, U.S. citizens and permanent residents may also consider private student loans. Some private loans are also available to international students.
External Funding & Work Opportunities
- On-campus employment: Many students offset living expenses with part-time, on-campus work. These positions are separate from scholarship awards, giving you the flexibility to choose work that fits your interests and schedule.
- External scholarships: Students are strongly encouraged to begin their search for external funding early. We maintain informational lists of funding opportunities for both U.S. citizens and international applicants.
