I have met so many wonderful people during my time at Heller and formed friendships that I know will last a lifetime. I’m truly grateful for this experience and the connections I’ve built. One friendship, in particular, stands out as especially meaningful. We were introduced through a mutual connection before we had officially accepted our offers to Heller. After we both decided to join the program and I moved out to Boston, we decided to meet in person. We chose a cozy coffee shop downtown called Tates for brunch. From the moment we started talking, it felt like we had known each other for years. After brunch, we extended our time together with an impromptu shopping trip, which was a great way to bond even more.
What really deepened our connection was discovering that we were born and raised in the same area. It was one of those small-world moments that made us feel instantly familiar and comfortable with each other. Since then, our relationship has continued to grow, and I know it will remain strong even as we move forward on our separate paths after Heller.
The supportive and inclusive environment at Heller played a big role in fostering this bond. The sense of community here made it easy to connect with others, and I’m so thankful for the opportunity to have met someone who has become such a close friend. This friendship is one of the highlights of my Heller experience, and I’ll carry it with me for years to come.
