Unfortunately, I haven't had the chance to visit all the restaurants on campus yet, but the ones I have tried come highly recommended. I usually frequent the spots at Usdan since it's the closest building to Heller.
For lunch, if I'm really hungry, I head to Usdan Kitchen. I start with their scratch-made pizza as an appetizer, followed by the entrée of the day, and finish off with dessert—the brownies, cakes, and cookies are delicious! If I'm in the mood for something lighter, I go to The Hive Culinary Studio and grab a tray of sushi. Honestly, it's some of the best sushi I've ever had, and it's extremely affordable for the quality. Recently, I also tried a burrito bowl from La Sabrosa—it was very filling and tasty, I would definitely get it again.
For breakfast or brunch, I highly recommend Einstein Bros Bagels at the Shapiro Student Center. The Turkey, Bacon & Avocado bagel is sooo good, especially paired with an iced latte (yes, sometimes I prefer my coffee cold). They also have a variety of snacks and fruit options (love to have a banana with my breaky) that complement the bagels perfectly.
To get a quick caffeine boost between classes, I love going to Dunkin' at Usdan. Here, I usually order a warm latte, some hash browns, a chocolate chip cookie, or banana bread. If I have a late class and crave something sweet, I make my way to the library to Starbucks. My go-to there is a Strawberry and Creme frappuccino—it always makes my day!
In a hopefully not so distant future, I would love to visit the dining hall at Sherman. The food options at the Farm Table all sound really yummy.
These are just a few of my recommendations. To explore all the restaurant options on campus, visit the Brandeis Hospitality website to view all the menus, hours, and locations.
