Heller 60th Anniversary

The Heller School is excited to celebrate our 60th anniversary throughout the 2019-2020 academic year. Join us back on campus from June 5-7, 2020, during the Brandeis Alumni Weekend for our culminating celebration.

Since our founding in 1959, we have been driven by a pioneering question: How can we use policy to work toward the well-being of all members of society? Over the last six decades, our academic degree programs have become more numerous and diverse, as have our institutes and centers. But Heller faculty, students, researchers, staff and alumni remain united by a vision of "knowledge advancing social justice" and a commitment to rigorous research and engagement with policymakers, practitioners and recipients of social policies, as well as academics.

In this 60th anniversary year, we're sharpening our focus on "closing the disparity gap," highlighting work across the community that contributes to this mission through publications, social media and events.

Heller 60 for 60

To recognize this anniversary, we're hosting 60 events, ranging from alumni gatherings to cultural celebrations to insightful lectures from leaders in industry and government. In the spring, we will have a culminating anniversary event, featuring a keynote speaker on the topic of social justice. Visit the Alumni Events page for more information.
