Eli J. & Phyllis N. Segal Citizen Leadership Program

Retreat Logistics

The Segal Program provides transportation for Fellows seeking transportation support, covers lodging for Fellows coming from beyond the Greater Boston Area, and offers programming and meals to all Fellows attending. Meals will be available from Friday lunch through Sunday lunch at Babson.

TRAVEL:

  • If Segal has booked your travel, please refer to the information sent to you by Lanni. If you're requesting a reimbursement for travel, please refer to the emailed details from Carmela or contact her at carmelajmb@brandeis.edu.
  • For return to the airport on Sunday from Babson, Lanni will be coordinating group ride shares and contact you about departure times from Wellesley.
  • For ground transportation from the airport/train station to Babson, you can submit ride share receipts for reimbursement, or if you would like Segal to book your ground transport directly, please contact Lanni (lanni@brandeis.edu) ASAP (by 10/8).

ATTIRE:

  • Attire is casual throughout the event, although many Fellows and Founders may choose to dress up a bit for the Saturday 15th Anniversary dinner. (Many may wear "business casual" for the 15th dinner, but that is not required.)
  • Assistant Director Carmela Belizaire and 2022 AmeriCorps Alums Segal Fellow Paulina Martin have been working to prepare our AM/PM team building sessions. (Thank you!) They write: "For our evening team-building portion on Friday night, we want to see a rainbow of colors, so we're asking everyone to wear your favorite hue. Whether it's bright and bold or subtle and soft, let your personality shine through your clothes."

TEAMBUILDING/MUSIC:

  • And while you're at it, to add a bit of pizzazz to our activities, please take a few minutes to share your "this is my jam" songs to help us plan an unforgettable retreat. We promise it won't take long, and your input is greatly appreciated. See you soon in a sea of colors!
COVID-19:

We recognize that COVID-19 remains an issue. While masks are not required, you are welcome to wear them at any time, if you would like. If you have COVID/have been exposed to COVID and are supposed to be isolating, please do not attend the sessions. If you are in a phase where you're supposed to be masking/distancing, we can find places for you to eat that will be distanced from others and can arrange other necessary details to help you distance. If you develop potential COVID symptoms during the Retreat, we will have some rapid tests and masks available, and we ask that you please mask up, and that you avoid exposing others until you get a negative test. Thank you. (See the CDC's COVID-19 guidelines here.)
