Ashley White

Ashley White is the Director of Research at the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care where she supports the agency in engaging in continuous learning, research, and evaluation in order to inform policy and program development.
Prior to EEC, Ashley was a Senior Policy Researcher at the Massachusetts Taxpayers Foundation (MTF) where she focused on early education research and policy. During her time at MTF she authored numerous influential reports on the Massachusetts early education system and was also a trusted resource to stakeholders on the state budget process and the state's investment in early education and care. Previous to MTF, Ashley directed the Economic Mobility Lab at the City of Boston where she led a team that researched and tested innovative policy solutions to promote economic mobility.
Ashley has a Master’s in Public Policy from the Heller School of Social Policy and Management and received her undergraduate degree from UMass Amherst. She lives in East Boston with her wife, Jess, and their Pug, Ginsburg.
