On February 25, 2021, Segal Fellows, Founders and Partners met to hear and talk about some of the varied Segal Network Responses to the COVID Pandemic. On the call were Raquél Lynn Pérez RN and Imani Islam, Segal Fellows on the frontlines in healthcare, as well as Segal Founders tackling the pandemic in different ways. Tom Freedman, Maria White, and the team at Freedman Consulting have been working with clients on their COVID-19 crisis response and producing a daily newsletter on COVID-19’s impact on low-income and vulnerable communities. Arnie and Carol Kanter and Janis Mendelsohn started Innovation80, in part to help small arts organizations in Chicago and the populations they serve survive and rebuild during and after the pandemic.
