Marisa (Daniel) Lovaincy received her MPP and MBA degrees with a concentration in children, youth and families at the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University in 2013. Marisa completed her Segal summer internship with Mayor Menino’s Urban Mechanics Program focusing on the re-zoning of Boston Public Schools.

Originally from New Hampshire, Marisa moved to Boston to attend Boston College, where she majored in Political Science and Hispanic studies. Before joining the Segal Program, Marisa completed two years of AmeriCorps with Friends of the Children, a mentoring and tutoring program, and City Year Boston, a national education nonprofit focused on eliminating the dropout crisis. While attending Heller, Marisa worked with the Growth and Development Department at City Year Headquarters to develop a new site location in Orlando.

After graduating from the Heller School, Marisa worked as a public sector consultant for Public Consulting Group for two years and then as an internal consultant and Program Manager in Liberty Mutual Insurance’s Auto Claims Department focused on improving operations and business processes. She is currently Senior Manager for Research and Insights Operations at Salesforce.
