Damond Ford
2011 City Year Bridge Builder Segal Fellow
Damond Ford is the 2011 City Year Bridge Builder Award winner. Damond currently resides in Manchester, NH, where he is the Associate Director for the NH GEAR UP Alliance. In November 2022, he was elected as a New Hampshire State Representative, serving his community in the state legislature. Damond has worked with and for a wide range of youth-focused organizations including Boys and Girls Club, Department of Juvenile Justice, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, and City Year. His passion for improving his community has led him to much of his work and many of his volunteer experiences. In 2020, Damond was chosen by the Chamber of Commerce of Greater Manchester in its Leadership Greater Manchester class. Damond is currently serving as a Board Member with Kinfolk Coaching, an organization focused on family dynamics and mental well-being. Damond also serves as his children's school’s Parent Teacher Group Treasurer, Manchester Proud’s Community Partnership Committeemen, and on the Granite YMCA’s Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee. Damond spends much of his time with Emerald, his wife, and their two daughters Cleo and Reed.
