National Research Center for Parents with Disabilities

Request Help

If you're a parent with a disability who is looking for resources or support, we provide a list of organizations and resources from across the United States that may be helpful.

If you need other assistance, we will try to help. Please fill out the form below and click "Submit." You may also contact us for assistance in locating information.

You can contact us, or you can click on your state below to find the contact information for your state’s
Protection and Advocacy (P&A) organization. Every US state and territory has a P&A organization, and
they are there to help you advocate for your rights as a disabled person and as a disabled parent. Your
state’s P&A agency may be called something different, but you’ll find it in the menu below.
There ae two other organizations that may be able to help you:
The Arc is a support and advocacy organization for people with developmental and intellectual
disabilities. (IDD) You can find your closest Arc office here.
Centers for Independent Living (CILs or ILCs) are organizations run by disabled people for disabled
people. CIL/ILCs can help you find resources and support in your geographic area. You can find your
closest CIL/ILC here.
