International Consortium
The National Research Center for Parents with Disabilities supports the International Consortium of Research on Parents, Parenting, and Pregnancy with Disabilities.
This International Consortium is composed of leading international researchers who study the parenting and pregnancy experiences of people with disabilities. The group advances the NRCPD's goals through its cross-cultural exchange of ideas and best practices. The group holds regular meetings that are devoted to activities such as workshopping of developing research projects and discussion of critical topics related to disability, parenting, and pregnancy across the global community. Please stay tuned for updates about this innovative initiative.
The most recent presentation took place in the Fall of 2025. At that meeting, Dr. Susan Collings and Dr. Margaret Spencer presented "Catalysing change: Co-designing research with lived experience experts in Australia." The consortium's upcoming meeting will focus on research on Ghana.
