Hussaini Zandam, PhD, is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Lurie Institute for Disability Policy, the Heller School for Social Policy and Management, Brandeis University. His research goal is towards providing data and evidence to inform policies and practices for strengthening and supporting equitable and inclusive health systems for people with disabilities. His research interests center around disability living experience and the contribution of structural, social and economic systems to disparities in access to healthcare, quality of care and health outcomes. Prior to joining the Heller School, Hussaini was Community Rehabilitation Coordinator in Nigeria where he developed and implemented community-based projects committed to responding to health care and basic needs of vulnerable populations, especially people with disabilities. He received his PhD in Public Health from University of Putra, Malaysia.
