Janelle Mills is a Research Associate at the Lurie Institute for Disability Policy. Before joining the Lurie Institute, Janelle worked as a research assistant at government agencies in St. Kitts and Nevis and Trinidad and Tobago. She earned a Master of Social Work and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine campus, where she developed a passion for researching the lived experiences of marginalized women and children.
Janelle is greatly interested in learning more about the intersectional nature of inequality and how the lived experiences of marginalized women, including women with disabilities, differ based on their nationality, culture, race, and income.
