National Service Scholarships

One in five of our American students has a background in national service: Peace Corps, AmeriCorps State and National, City Year, Teach for America, AmeriCorps Vista, and AmeriCorps NCCC (National Civilian Conservation Corps) are all represented in the current class. 

AmeriCorps Scholarships

The Heller School is pleased to offer guaranteed partial-tuition scholarships of at least 50% to AmeriCorps alumni admitted to one of the following Heller Degree Programs: MPP Master of Public Policy, MBA in Nonprofit Management, MBA/MPP Dual Degree, MA in Sustainable International Development (SID), MBA/SID Dual Degree, MA in Conflict Resolution and Coexistence (COEX), MBA/COEX Dual Degree, SID/COEX Dual Degree, MS in Global Health Policy and Management (GHPM), MBA/GHPM Dual Degree, and SID/GHPM Dual Degree. Heller AmeriCorps scholarships exceed the match provided through the Segal AmeriCorps Education Award Match Program. The application fee will be waived for all AmeriCorps alumni.

City Year Scholarships

The Heller School is pleased to offer a guaranteed $10,000 scholarship to City Year alumni admitted to one of our master’s degree programs.  The application fee will be waived for all City Year alumni.

Commonwealth Corps Scholarships

The Heller School is pleased to offer a guaranteed $10,000 scholarship to Commonwealth Corps alumni admitted to one of our master’s degree programs.  The application fee will be waived for all Commonwealth Corps alumni.

Peace Corps Scholarships

The Heller School is pleased to be a Paul D. Coverdell Fellows Program, ranked #3 in the U.S. on the Peace Corps’ list of top Coverdell Fellows programs.

The Heller School is pleased to offer guaranteed partial-tuition scholarships of at least 50% to Returned Peace Corps Volunteers (RPCVs) admitted to one of the following Heller Degree Programs: MPP Master of Public Policy, MBA in Nonprofit Management, MBA/MPP Dual Degree, MA in Sustainable International Development (SID), MBA/SID Dual Degree, MA in Conflict Resolution and Coexistence (COEX), MBA/COEX Dual Degree, SID/COEX Dual Degree, MS in Global Health Policy and Management (GHPM), MBA/GHPM Dual Degree, and SID/GHPM Dual Degree. All RPCV applicants should submit a copy of their Description of Service (DOS) as proof of their Peace Corps experience.  The DOS may be submitted within the electronic application for admission.  The application fee will be waived for all RPCVs.

Starting Bloc Scholarships

MBA in Nonprofit Management, Master of Public Policy (MPP), MBA/MPP Dual Degree:  Three 50% scholarships are offered to Starting Bloc Fellows who have completed their fellowship and are admitted to the MBA, MPP or MBA/MPP program.  The application fee will be waived for Starting Bloc Fellows.

Young Government Leaders Scholarships

MBA in Nonprofit Management, Master of Public Policy, and MBA/MPP Dual Degree:  One 100% scholarship and two 60% scholarships are offered to YGL members admitted to the MBA in Nonprofit Management program.  Two 60% scholarships are offered to YGL members admitted to the Master of Public Policy (MPP) program. The application fee will be waived for YGL members.
