Community Advisory Board

The Community Advisory Board (CAB) is comprised of community leaders and stakeholders (e.g., pastors, recovery coaches, community advocates, health care providers) in the Detroit area. Board members reflect the types of roles or specific people that have been most helpful to Black people seeking to achieve and sustain recovery in Detroit. With input from DRP and from the individuals that we collect data from, the CAB will support the project by:

  • providing input on our research approaches
  • contribute to our understanding of the findings
  • assist with sharing these findings to ensure that they reach the community and stakeholders who will benefit from the knowledge of how to advance recovery from AUD in Detroit’s Black population
