HS 352F — Learning Across Borders: Collaborating on Innovative Development Solutions

Meets for one-half semester and yields half-course credit.

Through video conferencing and other electronic communications technologies, the course involves students from different countries and cultures in designing solutions to global development problems. The geographical and thematic focus may change depending on the participants. In recent years the course has focused on Information and Communications Technologies for Development. Students from Brazil and Heller work together on media and technology projects that address issues such as environmental degradation, lack of access to health care and education, and promoting civic engagement.
