Christa Thomas-Sowers comes from a background of front-line harm reduction work in Woonsocket, RI. Hired as a community liaison in 2018, she worked closely with the community to establish a successful street outreach program (2019), and peer-run drop-in center (2021). She is a Program Manager supporting community engagement, harm reduction, and drug checking work being done by Dr. Traci Green's team at the Opioid Policy Research Collaborative. Christa holds a BS from Johnson and Wales University.
