A tailored, six-day program for 25 high-level physicians, surgeons, and medical managers from Russia. The program provided participants with a working knowledge of the US healthcare system, healthcare management and technology innovations, and US health care policy. Executive Education arranged for field visits to observe innovative practices and technologies in action.
Health Policy Forum: Physicians Affecting Change, Massachusetts Medical Society (MMS), Waltham, MA
A joint MMS and Heller sponsored a one-day Health Policy Forum for 200 MMS physician members. The program provided an overview of national health policy, the key systemic issues affecting healthcare in the US today, and those that will affect healthcare in the future: financing, quality, reform, innovation, and policy decision-making. The program attracted a majority of primary care physicians-an audience that has not often participated in MMS events in the past.

Heller hosted a 2-day Health Leaders Program for 25 MMS officers, board members, administrative leadership, and rising leaders. Program topics included strategic thinking and team building, national health policy, relational coordination, conflict negotiation, and effective leadership styles.

Program topics included financial literacy for physician leaders, quality and performance measures, relational coordination in health care, effective clinical leadership styles, and strategic thinking in health care.
Tufts University School of Medicine - Brandeis University Leadership Academy
This program was held twice a year, with start dates in January and June. The program began with a three-day immersion, followed by two weekend (two-day) sessions held on Tufts' Boston Health Sciences campus. This program was designed primarily for senior-level aspiring and current leaders. Program topics included New Clinical Leadership Challenges, Strategic Decision Making, Effective Clinical Leadership Styles, Strategic Management, Conflict Resolution, and Financial Literacy.
Nurse Executive Leadership Program, Jewish Healthcare Foundation, Pittsburgh, PA
This interactive, three-day program was jointly sponsored by the Jewish Healthcare Foundation (JHF) and Brandeis University's Heller School. The program was intended to enhance nurse executive leadership knowledge and skills in health policy, change management, and driving and measuring process improvements that result in improved clinical care outcomes in their institutions. 30 Nurse Executives participated.
