Intro to RJxTP

Technology increasingly impacts how people live their lives and the outcomes they face. The Racial Justice x Tech Policy project is driven by several research teams within the Institute of Economic and Racial Equity (IERE). We evaluate the evolving challenges of algorithmic bias, barriers to diversity in STEM careers, and contribute to redefining civil rights in an increasingly data-driven society. Our first year includes an RJxTP Awards event with our partners at the Kapor Center to fund new projects that will influence innovative policies. We’re excited for the potential of the Racial Justice x Tech Policy program and the positive change our collective knowledge will bring.

LEARN ABOUT THE TECH EQUITY MICRO-CREDENTIALS

Upcoming Pilot Micro-Credential

We are launching a series with micro-credential possibilities. The series begins with the in-depth credential titled 'The Past and Future of Education in America' on July 27th. This timely course delves further into the historical foundations of inequality within the educational system and addresses contemporary challenges. Though not required, participants can continue participating in future workshops to build an understanding of algorithms and bias, which impact life course outcomes. Completion of the full series offers a micro-credential in racial justice and technology policy. Other sessions include an introduction to machine learning and data analytics for advancing policy. Participants in this micro-credentialing opportunity will acquire tools to drive meaningful social change.
To learn more about the micro-credential and register, we invite you to check out the attached flyer, which takes you to the registration link containing detailed information. Don't miss out on this opportunity to expand your knowledge, make a difference in the educational system, and shape the future of education for generations to come.
