Eunjung Jee joined the Institute for Economic and Racial Equity (IERE) in 2020. Her areas of expertise include labor market inequality, care work, and childcare policy. At IERE, she is currently leading the evaluation of the Guaranteed Basic Income (GBI) and other programs at the Smart from the Start, as well as the quantitative evaluation of Semillitas, a children’s savings account (CSA) program in Santa Cruz, California. Her academic research focuses on how childcare provision shapes inequalities among women in the U.S. labor market, with a particular focus on immigrant women’s roles and household structure. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
