Forum held on December 1, 2004
HIV/AIDS policy needs to be re-evaluated based on the latest research, data, and changing nature of the disease. This forum highlighted the issue brief which examined changes in: the affected population, public and private funding, available treatment, and prevention strategies. John Orwat from Brandeis University’s Schneider Institute for Health Policy presented the research and was followed by a panel discussion including: Kevin Cranston, Acting Director, HIV/AIDS Bureau, Professor Anita Raj, Boston University School of Public Health, and Dr. Michael Wong, Harvard Medical School. The moderator was Ralph Fuccillo, President of AIDS Action.
