Brandeis-Harvard SPIRE Center

People

The Brandeis-Harvard SPIRE Center continues a long-standing collaboration between the Institute for Behavioral Health at Brandeis University’s Schneider Institutes for Health Policy and Harvard Medical School’s Department of Health Care Policy that began in 1995. Each organization brings a unique set of substantive skills that strengthens the collective expertise offered by the Center. By sharing knowledge and resources across institutions, we create a whole greater than its parts, enhancing our ability to conduct high-quality health services research.

Our dear colleague Robert Dunigan, PhD, MSW, passed away on Feb 4th, 2025. This loss has impacted our community deeply, and we are honored to celebrate his legacy.
Dr. Dunigan worked closely and connected his teams with many community partners, enriching his work with nuance, expertise, and lived experience perspectives. He played a key role in SPIRE’s mentoring and pilot core and served as a mentor to many early career researchers throughout his career.
