Two educational programs related to global health are available at the Heller School for Social Policy and Management: an MS in Global Health Policy and Management, and a PhD concentration in Global Health. The Institute for Global Health and Development strives to strengthen these educational programs.
MS in Global Health Policy and Management
The MS Program in Global Health Policy and Management is a one-year intensive program training midcareer health professionals in health care management and evidence-based policy research. With a strong focus on health economics and financing, the degree capitalizes on the considerable expertise of Heller's Schneider Institutes for Health Policy research staff and faculty and focuses on the most pressing global health challenges in low- and middle-income countries.
PhD Concentration in Global Health
The PhD Concentration in Health has a sub-concentration in Global Health. Students in this concentration learn how to apply cutting-edge research to solving health problems in low- and middle-income countries. The focus is on getting solutions implemented at scale with a specific focus on the poor.
