The practicum is an integral component of the GSPM program, offering students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional setting. You will work with a development or conflict-resolution organization, applying the skills and knowledge gained from your coursework to real-world situations.
Those with three to five years of experience in the development, peacebuilding, or policy fields may waive the practicum, and complete the program in nine months.
Practicum Requirements
- Minimum of three consecutive months of full-time work (35–40 hours per week)
- Supervised by a field supervisor and guided by a GSPM practicum advisor
