Caste Conference History

GDS inaugurated in 2015 an annual conference on caste. While each focused on current ideations of caste, they each honored The Unfinished Legacy of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, the preeminent 20th Century leader against untouchability. The first three conferences were hosted at Brandeis. The series continued as a “floating conference”, first at The University of Massachusetts/Amherst and then at The New School, New York. The Sixth International Conference returns home to Brandeis.
