Commencement Sunday

Spingold Theater, Brandeis Campus

Sunday, May 19, is commencement day at Brandeis University. The Heller commencement ceremony takes place at 8:00 am in Spingold Theater followed by the University commencement at 10:30 am in Gosman Auditorium.  A reminder to students: go to SPINGOLD THEATER on Sunday morning. Do NOT come to the Heller School. Please be at Spingold at 7:15 am with your regalia. It's going to be a wonderful morning!

HellerSAVE notes that just 200 publicly-traded companies hold the vast majority of the world’s proven coal, oil and gas reserves. HellerSAVE agrees with climate studies that most of this fossil carbon must NOT be burned, and this means these 200 companies represent a financial "carbon bubble." Swarthmore College, with an endowment of $1.5 billion, recently found that divesting from these companies would cost the college $200 million (cumulative) over the next ten years. It may soon become the fifth US college to vote to do so. And Brandeis? HellerSAVE will participate in a committee over the summer to estimate the cost to our beloved university.
