The master of arts program in Sustainable International Development is a highly selective program with over 1000 applicants for 85 slots. We strive to have a class comprised of 2/3 international students and 1/3 American students, balancing mid-career development professionals with those applicants who have only two to three years of development experience and are seeking additional training. Applicants who do not have at least two years of development experience are encouraged to explore options such as Peace Corps before filing an application. Applicants with questions about their level of experience are encouraged to speak to a member of the admissions staff. We will consider applications from prospective students who have less than two years of experience in extraordinary circumstances.
Please note that the master of arts class is limited in size and offers of admission are made on a space-available basis. We strongly encourage applicants to submit their completed applications and to respond to offers of admission as early as possible.
