Heller MPP graduates will be prepared for careers in the following areas:

  • Government policy analysis at every public sector level: federal, state, county, and municipal
  • Policy research in consulting firms, think tanks, or policy offices in the nonprofit or private sector
  • Implementation of policies in the public and private sector
  • Business settings where policy has an impact on the industry
  • Advocacy on certain issues or lobbying for specific policies and legislation representing important stakeholder groups, from civil rights to business interests

The MPP program also provides excellent preparation for graduates who wish to go on to advanced graduate work in doctoral, law, or medical degree programs.

The Heller School's Career Services Office connects you with a wide variety of career opportunities. Our alumni network, more than 2,000 strong and growing, provides many ways to deepen personal and professional ties, opening up exciting job opportunities.

The office regularly posts job opportunities for upcoming graduates and alumni.  It holds regular panels, workshops, and presentations and maintains an active network of alumni who share career advice and information about job opportunities.
