Dual Degree Curriculum (SIDCO)

Graduates of the dual degree program will receive two master's degrees: one in Coexistence and Conflict and the other in Sustainable International Development.

Students in the dual degree program are required to undertake both the required curriculum for the Master's Degree in Coexistence and Conflict (COEX) and the required curriculum for the Sustainable International Development (SID) degree. See above for a  breakdown of the curriculum.

Students spend four academic semesters in residence at the Heller School, with the first two semesters undertaking the SID curriculum and the following two semesters undertaking the COEX program. The final semester is spent doing a field project that integrates the knowledge from both fields of study, and a final report of their project under the guidance of their field project director. In summary, the program takes a total of two academic years, followed by a 12-week field project.  Although the length of the program is 27 months, it should be noted that the final three months can be carried out in the student's home country.
