Alain Lempereur, •  Program Director, Master's Program in Coexistence and Conflict

Alain Lempereur is the Alan B. Slifka Chair Professor in Coexistence and Conflict and the Program Director of the Graduate Programs in Coexistence and Conflict at the Heller School for Social Policy and Management. In collaboration with the faculty and the staff of the program, and in consultation with the COEX students, alumni and partners, he defines the strategy of the program, and follows-up on the implementation of the decisions which stem from the COEX action plan.

Anne Gudaitis  •  Program Administrator, Graduate Programs in Coexistence and Conflict

Anne Gudaitis is the program administrator for the Graduate Programs in Coexistence and Conflict at the Heller School for Social Policy and Management. She supports the director and faculty, and manages all aspects of the Master's Program operation.  From 2005 to 2007, Anne worked in the President's office under Jehuda Reinharz assisting with event planning. Prior to her time at Brandeis, she spent five years working for the Kennedy family trust and eight years at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology as assistant to the provost and dean for undergraduate education. Anne has a BA in Mass Communications and French, and a Senior Certificate in Design from the School of Fashion Design in Boston.

Joanne Murphy  •  Practicum Advisor, Graduate Programs in Coexistence and Conflict

Joanne Murphy supports COEX and SIDCO students in all aspects of their fieldwork preparations.  It is her responsibility to help students with information about their field project possibilities, liaising with organizations that are partnering/hosting students, and ensuring that students stay in communication while in the field and throughout the time writing their Master's papers.  She has both teaching and international development work experience.  Joanne received a BA in Spanish from Bates College and an MA in Spanish from Middlebury College.
