Racial Justice x Technology Policy

RJxTP Awards

Welcome to the RJxTP Awards - an initiative that celebrates the power of diverse teams in proposing innovative solutions to tackle racial bias in technology. We invite you to join our vibrant community of thinkers and innovators as we explore new ways to address the role of bias in our lives.

Our goal is to create a space where interdisciplinary and multicultural teams can engage in dialogue and share their ideas on how to disrupt bias in technology. We believe that this is an essential step towards nurturing a pipeline of diverse scholars who are committed to researching approaches to bias disruption.

The RJxTP Awards will feature presentations by teams that will be reviewed and judged based on five critical criteria. These criteria reflect our commitment to promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of our work. Awards will be given based on each of the review criteria, which will be announced at the end of the event.

We are excited to be part of this journey towards creating an academic concentration at Heller on RJxTP. Our aim is to build a proof of concept that demonstrates the interest in these topics across varied communities in and outside of Brandeis. The concentration will provide increasing opportunities for workshops, courses, and diverse approaches to credentialing. In the future, we plan to hire a Professor of the Practice/ Scholar-In-Residence of RJxTP, who will lead the concentration and guide us towards a more equitable, inclusive, and just future.

Join us in this exciting journey as we explore the power of diverse thinking and innovative solutions to disrupt bias in technology. We look forward to welcoming you to the RJxTP Awards, where we celebrate excellence, innovation, and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
