RC Certification for Training

If you have a training program that prepares participants to use relational coordination for their leadership, work or organizational change, we invite you to submit your program to be considered for RC Certification.

The certification process certifies that the content and pedagogy of the training program is consistent with the principles of relational coordination.

RC Certification is governed by the RCRC Board and its Training and Certification Committee.

Training Certification Criteria

  1. The lead instructor must be an RC Certified Professional, to ensure the training program will be implemented in alignment with the principles of relational coordination
  2. The training program must be designed to do the following:
  • Engage participants in co-creating their own learning experience
  • Be based on experiential learning with reflective debriefing
  • Recognize and support the emergent nature of change
  • Promote an understanding of RC as culture change
  • Prepare participants to use RC principles for their leadership, for their work, or for carrying out organizational change
  • Address how leaders individually and collectively can promote through their actions, behaviors and communication a meaningful vision that includes engaging people and staff at all organizational levels to explore and test relevant changes
  • If RC survey data are used, ensure they are used as a starting point for reflective conversation, not as a summative evaluation or judgment
  • If RC survey data are used, ensure understanding of how to interpret them and share them back
  • If RC survey data are not used, ensure understanding of how conversations can be structured around these dimensions without data sharing
