Figure 1 provides a visual representation of the Community Development department’s approach. With Native community at the center, the department pursues and achieves four deeply intertwined community and individual outcomes: belonging and financial stability, community prosperity and family economic well-being, sovereignty and self-determination, and systemic change and balance.
