Margarete Arndt, D.B.A.
Margarete Arndt is Professor of Management at Clark University. Her resarch focuses on health care management. She and her colleague Barbara Bigelow have challenged the underlying assumptions of widely diffused practices, e.g., corporate restructuring, total quality management, reengineering, and most recently evidence based management.
In addition, Professor Arndt has studied the history of hospital administration as an occupation - a rare case of a female occupation that masculinized. Her research shows that the change was driven by the occupation’s own leadership.
Margarete Arndt holds a Masters in Management from Simmons College, School of Management, and a Doctorate in Business Administration from Boston University.
