“Assessment of the Financial Education Toolkit Project”

Tatjana MeschedeThis is an evaluation of the Financial Education Toolkit Project that MASSCAP has been operating for the Department of Early Education and Care (EEC). The goal of the evaluation is to identify promising practices instituted in EEC-funded Coordinated Family and Community Engagement (CFCE) regions as a result of the training MASSCAP provided on the Financial Education Toolkit; to identify challenges to implanting the Toolkit with their families, in their program, or in their communities; and to determine if any of the recipients of the training changed their financial behaviors as a result of the training or services they received from the CFCE.

“Assets, Economic Security, and Racial Wealth Analysis”

This project will continue to build upon ongoing work of research, partnership building, and communication to impact public opinion and policy development on economic security across the life-course, the widening wealth inequality and the racial wealth gap. The strategic orientation of this work builds the evidence and popular foundation for policy and program development in these substantive areas.

“Research and Development Assistance for Bangor Housing Authority for Enhanced Family Self-Sufficiency Program”

The Institute on Assets and Social Policy (IASP) will assist the Bangor (Maine) Housing Authority design and develop the components for an enhanced HUD Family Self-Sufficiency Program for residents of BHA public housing. IASP will provide direction for the development of collaborative partnerships to deliver asset building and career development services and assist BHA in constructing a workplan and budget for case coordination and data collection to implement this multi-year pilot and allow for a comprehensive evaluation of the outcomes.
