Fees

APRIL 25, 2016: THE FRIDAY NIGHT CONFERENCE DINNER IS FULL AND LUNCHEON CATERING ORDERS HAVE CLOSED. YOU MAY REGISTER TO ATTEND CONFERENCE SESSIONS ONLY.

All participants whether delivering papers or not must pay the appropriate registration fee (co-authors on your abstract do not need to register unless they plan to participate in the meeting).  The registration fee includes access to the meeting for either the whole conference, or one day including specified meals. Full conference registration includes Friday lunch, Friday evening reception and dinner, and Saturday lunch. One day pass includes the meal(s) as above for that day.

Registration Fees

*Why are fees after April 15 higher? Adjustment of catering and other services rise.

** Those registering under the companion/spouse category may not present research or participate as a panelist. The Companion/Spouse category must also attend with a fully registered attendee.

Additional subsidies for students

The Conference Fee schedule above already offers discounted registration fees for students. GDS Center has limited funds to further subsidize student registration fees. We do not subsidize travel or other expenses. Eligibility: You are eligible to apply if you are currently enrolled in a university degree program. You do NOT need to formally participate in the meeting (e.g. paper presentation, panel, etc.) to be eligible. However, if you do, please acknowledge support from the program in any presentations or publications. Applications for subsidies are reviewed on a rolling basis. Funds for subsidies might be exhausted prior to your application. To apply, please send an email to gds@brandeis.edu and put STUDENT SUBSIDY in the Subject line. Please indicate name of applicant, email address, student’s address, telephone number, name of university, degree program and field of study, and amount of funding requested. Preference will be given to students engaged in research on caste issues in South Asia or on other marginalized groups throughout the world. Financial need will be considered. A Letter of Recommendation emailed directly from a college instructor will strengthen an application. All applicants will be notified of the status of their submission. Subsidies will not be considered after April 15.
