Celeste Lee holds a masters degree in education policy and administration from Harvard Graduate School of Education. She is currently senior director of grantmaking for the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts Foundation where she oversees an $4 million annual funding portfolio. Prior to joining the foundation when it was established in 2001, Ms. Lee held a variety of positions in community relations and corporate citizenship, as well as public relations and marketing communications. In addition, she has served on numerous boards, including the Brookline Community Foundation, The Lenny Zakim Fund, the Urban League of Eastern Massachusetts, and Family Services of Greater Boston. She was also a trustee of Bradford College from 1997 until it's closing in 2000, and helped to oversee the redistribution of it's assets to other higher education institutions and charities.

Profile

Celeste Lee oversees grantmaking at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts Foundation. She returned to the Foundation in 2012, and had previously served as the first director of Community Health Partnerships when the Foundation was created in 2001. During that initial tenure at the Foundation, she managed a grant portfolio focused on outreach and enrollment, cultural competence, health care disparities, and children's mental health. From 2007 to 2012, Celeste was the senior director of Member, Account & Provider Enrollment at the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts health plan. Her nearly 20-year history with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts also includes roles as senior director of Supplier Diversity, executive director of the company's WellChild Foundation for children's mental and emotional health, and director of Community Relations.
Celeste holds a master's degree from the Harvard University Graduate School of Education and bachelor's from the University of New Hampshire.
