Tuesday Talks: “To Compete, First Collaborate”

Altman Amphitheater (G1), Irving Schneider and Family Building

12:30 - 1:45 pm

Thomas McLaughlin, Adjunct Lecturer, MBA Program, presents a non-intuitive look at how nonprofits compete, the reasons why they create alliances and mergers -- and why they are creating more of them. This session will feature conceptual frameworks, real-life stories, and lots of interaction.  Participants will leave with a clearer understanding of nonprofit mergers and alliances, and some insight into how they resemble for-profit collaborations -- or not.

Tuesday Talks is a special series of talks by Heller faculty and researchers on select Tuesdays throughout the year. Attendees are encouraged to bring their lunch.
