Tuesday Talks: “A Progressive's Journey at Walmart”

Margaret McKenna, Visiting Professor of the Practice, Sillerman Center for the Advancement of Philanthropy; and former president, Walmart Foundation, presents. Margaret McKenna, former civil rights lawyer, university president and social justice advocate, became the president of the Walmart Foundation in 2007. In her four years leading the largest corporate foundation in the United States, she made major commitments in the areas of hunger, youth development, education, women's economic empowerment and workforce. She will detail her experience working for progressive values and programs within a conservative corporate culture.

Tuesday Talks is a special series of talks by Heller faculty and researchers on select Tuesdays throughout the year. Attendees are encouraged to bring their lunch.
