The Heller Ph.D. in Social Policy

Financial Aid Information and Sources of Support

The Heller School makes every effort to provide tuition and stipend support to full-time Ph.D. students, who typically receive support through training grants and university and donor funds for their first two years of doctoral study. Financial support is awarded on a competitive basis and does not require submission of a financial statement. Students may also be admitted to the Ph.D. program on a non-funded basis.

This financial support comes from a variety of sources: federal training grants, fellowships supported by individual donors, institutional scholarships and stipends, and federal Stafford Loans. Eligibility for the various types of funding may be determined using the FAFSA form or the International Student Financial Aid Application and, in some cases, the Statement of Purpose from the admissions application.
