Special Student Status

Admission with Special Student Status

You may enroll in one or two courses at the Heller School yet not formally matriculate into the Ph.D. in Social Policy program. In doing so, you are a Special Student in a non-degree seeking status.

To apply:

1. Submit a Special Student Application Form
2. Submit transcripts
3. Submit professional resumé
4. Secure approvals of the Heller registrar's office and the course instructor
5. Pay the course tuition fees*

Please note:

• No more than two courses taken for credit may be transferable to degree candidacy if the student is later admitted to the Ph.D. program
• If Special Students choose to later apply to the Ph.D. program, they are considered equally with all other applicants
• No guarantee of admission is made
