This scholarship was created to honor Dr. Stuart Altman, the Sol C. Chaikin Professor of National Health Policy. It is awarded to a master’s student in the aging or health concentration, and honors the life and work of Stuart Altman by supporting students whose career goals include making a difference in the field of health policy, health care management or aging policy management. The ideal candidate will be an MBA or MPP student.

The Ellen Block award is given to one U.S. student from rural, economically disadvantaged areas such as the Mississippi Delta area or Appalachia, and plan on returning to that area to work in community based organizations focused on anti-poverty work. The ideal candidate will be an MA or MBA student concentrating in children, youth, & family or sustainable development.
Alumni of Brandeis University receive an automatic $4,000 Brandeis Graduate Award upon acceptance to the Heller School.

The intent of the scholarship is to support individuals who are planning management or service careers in community-based, human services organizations. The Heller School is a Paul D Coverdell Fellows Program, (formerly a Peace Corps Fellows/USA partner school.) Application fees are waived for all RPCV Fellows. Additionally all Fellows receive $10,000 in tuition remission for each year of full-time enrollment in their selected program. All applicants to the Coverdell Fellows Program are required to submit a copy of their Description of Service (DOS) as proof of their Peace Corps experience. The DOS may be submitted within the electronic application for admission.
Alumnae of the Public Policy and International Affairs program will receive a $5000 scholarship. The concentration and focus of research is open.
