The Mubadala Healthcare Leadership Program is sponsored by Mubadala Healthcare, a proactive leader in health care in the United Arab Emirates, for health care leaders in Abu Dhabi.
To creatively face whatever challenges lie ahead and to envision new possibilities for the future of medicine, health care leaders must have a sophisticated understanding of health policy and health care management and leadership. This understanding is essential to improving health care quality, access, equity, and cost effectiveness, and promoting a sound public health system. Health care professionals need the skills, knowledge, and mindset to take active leadership roles in their organizations and systems, to meet the shared interests patients and medical professionals alike. The landscape of health care is continually changing, and the cultures of health care organizations, including hospitals, must be agile, nimble, and entrepreneurial, and connect managerial, policy, and service domains.
This Leadership Program is a continuing medical education program in health policy, leadership, and management for a diverse population of health care leaders. The program includes four days of interactive learning with Heller School faculty. Program topics include strategic thinking in health care, managing clinics and the care process, health policy economics and financing, effective leadership styles, complex health organizations and leading change, international health policy trends, and fair process and the patient-provider relationship.
